A tragic shooting incident has occurred inside the Marketing Organization for Farmers (Or Tor Kor) Market on Kamphaeng Phet Road, Chatuchak District, Bangkok. The scene of the attack was near "Kan Jompalang's" donation center for border assistance, sending shockwaves and panic through the local community. Initial investigations reveal that the perpetrator was a male wearing a black shirt, cream shorts, and a military camouflage backpack, who used a firearm to open fire on people in the area. The first victim confirmed deceased was a security guard. The assailant then moved to other locations within the market, continuing his shooting spree against multiple individuals. Officers from Bang Sue Police Station, along with the Arintharat (SWAT) unit, swiftly sealed off the area to control the situation and evacuate people from the vicinity. As of the latest update at 1:50 PM, a total of six fatalities have been confirmed. This includes four security guards, one market vendor, and the perpetrator himself, who died by suicide approximately 100 meters from the initial scene. Additionally, three people sustained injuries and have been transported to nearby hospitals for treatment.
