Bangkok, May 11, 2025 A massive fire broke out at a furniture factory located in Soi Chalong Krung 55, Lam Pla Thio Subdistrict, Lat Krabang District, at approximately 10:38 PM. The blaze raged for over four hours, prompting an extensive emergency response. Firefighting units, supported by dozens of water trucks, were deployed to the scene to combat the intense flames that engulfed the entire L-shaped factory structure. While firefighters succeeded in partially suppressing the fire at the front of the premises, the rear section—extending nearly one kilometer into the compound—remained severely affected, with flames continuing to burn. Rescue personnel on site reported structural concerns, noting that parts of the factory walls had begun to tilt due to prolonged exposure to high temperatures. Efforts to contain the fire are ongoing, with crews working tirelessly to prevent the blaze from spreading to adjacent properties. Authorities have not yet confirmed any casualties, and investigations into the cause of the fire are underway. At 11:23 p.m., the fire was brought under control.
