Starry Night over Bangkok 2024

The National Astronomical Research Institute of Thailand (NARIT), in collaboration with the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, hosted the event "Starry Night over Bangkok 2024" to invite city dwellers to experience the beauty of the stars in the heart of Bangkok. The event coincided with the closest approach of Jupiter to Earth this year and featured exciting activities such as photographing the Moon, Saturn, and Jupiter using smartphones; exploring the night sky and constellations through the stargazing app “NAPA”; learning to stargaze with the naked eye; planet balloons; discovering constellations through a Stellar Light Box; enjoying Glow in the Dark activities; attending a talk on “The Wonders of Jupiter”; and the special Night Nature Walk to explore nocturnal nature.
