"D.K.B.A.,Hands Over 261 Foreign Human Traffi

Today (February 12, 2025), the Democratic Karen Buddhist Army (D.K.B.A.), led by Major General Soi Swai Wa, Deputy Commander of the D.K.B.A., and Major General Soi Say Jo La, Commander of the 1st Division of the D.K.B.A., handed over 261 foreign human trafficking victims to Thai authorities. Colonel Nattakorn Ruentip, the Commander of the Rajamanu Task Force, and Mr. Kanweer Suebsaeng, a Member of Parliament from the Fair Party, were there to receive them. The foreign victims include 26 from the Philippines, 13 from Bangladesh, 2 from Brazil, 1 from Nepal, 33 from Kenya, 19 from Laos, 46 from Ethiopia, 31 from Pakistan, 1 from Tanzania, 1 from Sri Lanka, 2 from Uganda, and 4 from Taiwan. Afterward, the authorities will take the 261 trafficking victims to Phop Phra District Office for further screening and processing as human trafficking victims.
