General Phana Klaewplodtook, the Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Army, and his team visited the border area in Mae Sot District, Tak Province, specifically at the Tha Kham 34 (Tha Sala Chao) checkpoint. The Ratchamonu Battalion officers reported on the situation along the Thai-Myanmar border, including the terrain features. The Mae Sot area is directly across from Myawaddy in Myanmar, separated by the Moei River, with a Friendship Bridge and a crossing point used for transporting goods. The Army Commander then proceeded to Tha 34, a private transportation point, where he met with officials from relevant agencies to discuss cross-border goods transportation and measures to prevent the smuggling of fuel, following the Thai government's actions to crack down on call center gangs. He also visited China View Restaurant to receive reports and discuss the border situation across from Chwe Kokkoh, the large-scale crime hub in Myawaddy, Myanmar, home to scammers and call centers.
