The Criminal Court for Corruption and Misconduct sentenced Professor Emeritus Dr. Pirongrong Ramsut, a member of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) for broadcasting affairs, to 2 years in prison in a case where True Digital Group Co., Ltd. filed a lawsuit over a warning letter regarding an advertisement inserted into True ID. This followed a complaint filed with the Sub-Committee for Broadcasting Affairs, chaired by Dr. Pirongrong. The court ruled that her actions were improper and amounted to intentional malice.
