Pol. Lt. Gen. Somprasong Yentum, Assistant Commissioner-General of the Royal Thai Police, along with Pol. Col. Theeradech Thamsutheer, Director of the Investigation Division of the Metropolitan Police Bureau, took custody of "Em Kong Ruea," or Mr. Ekkaluck Paenoi, the suspect in the shooting death of Mr. Lim Kimya near Wat Bowonniwet Vihara in the Phra Nakhon district. The suspect was apprehended at the permanent border checkpoint in Ban Khlong Luek, Aranyaprathet, Sa Kaeo province, and was transferred to the Police Aviation Division (Tha Raeng) before being sent to Chana Songkhram Police Station for further investigation on January 11, 2025.
