The Mirror Foundation and the Institute of Forensic Medicine have announced the situation of missing children in 2024, with 314 cases reported, showing a 6% increase. Most of the children went missing after running away from home, while some were tricked into working for call center gangs. Meanwhile, the "DNA Pro Kids" project uses genetic materials to help locate missing children. Today, the Mirror Foundation brought the mothers of three missing children who have been gone for many years to collect genetic material for the DNA Pro Kids project. These include the mother of Gigi (Jirapath Thongchum), who has been missing for 15 years, the mother of Da (Phattawan Inthasook), missing for 11 years, and the mother of Ats (Teeraphong), a boy who has been missing for 6 years.
